Revolution Point Church is a community-focused Christian congregation in Kent County, Michigan. The church serves local families and neighbors through worship services, small groups, and outreach programs, and sought a refreshed environment that reflects its warm, welcoming culture.
Before the project, the exterior showed faded fascia and soffits and the brick façade had a conventional red tone that no longer matched the church’s contemporary look. Inside, the sanctuary featured outdated yellow/tan walls and a white ceiling. The church needed a comprehensive update—interior and exterior—completed on a tight timeline, with no interruption to worship services.
To protect the sanctuary, our crew exercised meticulous care—masking and covering pews, carpets, and trim before any prep or paint. We erected scaffolding to safely access the high sanctuary ceiling and used a specialized quick-dry coating to minimize any risk of drips or splatter.
Outside, we thoroughly prepped the brick and trim, then painted the entire exterior, including the steeple, older window frames, soffits, fascia, and service doors, to deliver a cohesive, modernized façade. Throughout both phases, we maintained clear communication with church staff to schedule around on-site activities.
The refreshed sanctuary now feels luminous, inviting, and modern. The ceiling was repainted from white to black, adding a clean, contemporary aesthetic that complements the updated walls. Exterior updates modernized the building’s curb appeal, transforming faded elements into a unified, attractive look. The project finished on time with no service disruptions, and the church community returned to a space that feels more welcoming, vibrant, and aligned with their mission.
This two-phase interior and exterior renovation demonstrates Speese Painting’s strengths in planning, protection, and precision.
